Day of Love
Why is it that Valentines day is a national holiday? Do we really need a holiday to tell someone we love them? Or a holiday to emphasize the fact that yet again this year I have no one special in my life? I think hat Mr. Valentine himself had the right idea- unconditional love. And I think that this is an idea that needs to be passed on to future generations. Just not by hallmark. I mean really, think about how wonderful the world would be if we were all overflowing with love. (cheesy huh!?) Anyway, this year I’m making my own valentines day. I think I might even change it’s name to “I love you day” or something equally as corny. I’m not sure when it will be. Just some day when I feel the need to express my feelings to all the people I care so much about. Maybe June 15th. That’s a love-y sounding day. At any rate, though I’m sure I love my family and friends as much as the next guy, maybe more, February 14th will come and go like the days that surround it; though like everyday, I wish you a day of love and peace.
